After countless hours perfecting our Hyundai i20 N performance upgrades, we’re excited to offer advanced ECU remapping software for the Hyundai i20 N, offering customers a choice of Stage 1 or Stage 2 states of tune. Designed to enhance power delivery, throttle response, and overall drivability, the software provides a flexible performance solution for both standard and modified vehicles.
Our fully re-calibrated engine management system delivers substantial increases in both power and torque. This customized ECU mapping utilises our own bespoke software, developed extensively on the road and track to enhance real-world driving. Power is increased across the entire rev range, improving drivability and providing a broader, more accessible power band that perfectly complements the superb chassis dynamics of the Hyundai i20 N.
Our Stage 1 tune transforms the i20 N, boosting power from the factory-quoted 200BHP/275 Nm to an impressive 230+ BHP and 337Nm, This software can be installed on a totally standard vehicle which works well. However we would recommend installing our turbo inlet hose FMTIA11 and induction kit FMINDK45 for the best gains. Not only does the 1.6 liter engine now pull much harder mid-range but it keeps pushing all the way to the red line.



Since developing our stage one software, we have taken time in development to push the i20 N’s turbo to it’s optimum performance. This is where the Forge stage 2 ECU calibration unleashes even greater performance – sharper response, stronger torque, and a noticeable jump in real-world power. If you want your i20 N to perform at its absolute best, this is the setup that gets you there.
Our development vehicle was equipped with our FMINDK45, FMTIA11 and FMINT28, along with a full Milltek exhaust system including a sports catalyst and downpipe. For Stage 2, the upgraded intercooler and exhaust system are essential to support the increased performance demands. The gains achieved from our stage 2 ECU calibration are extremely impressive. With our hardware fitted but running the factory software, the development vehicle produced 210BHP and 308 Nm of torque. Following extensive dyno testing, road validation and data analysis from track sessions, we developed a calibration that consistently delivers 251BHP and 403 Nm of torque – an increase of +51HP and +128Nm over a totally stock i20 N.
A review of the power graph highlights not only the significant uplift across the entire rev range, but also the smooth and progressive power delivery right through to the redline. On the road, this translates into a linear, confidence-inspiring surge of performance. Thanks to the i20 N’s lighter weight, the stage 2 equipped model feels every bit as quick as its bigger brother, the i30 N – high praise for Hyundai’s smallest N car.
Installation of our ECU calibration takes approximately two hours and is carried out at our Gloucester HQ.
